Thelma Nell Jenkins Agnew, 80, was born May 15,1937 in Collegeport, TX and passed from this life on January 4, 2018.

Thelma Nell grew up in Collegeport, TX and graduated from Palacios High School in 1955. After graduating Nell moved to Bay City, TX and started working as an operator for Southwestern Bell Telephone Company. On May 24, 1963, Thelma Nell Jenkins married George Willis Agnew and they were married for over 52 years until his death in 2016. Thelma Nell Jenkins Agnew, 80, was born May 15,1937 in Collegeport, TX and passed from this life on January 4, 2018.

Thelma Nell grew up in Collegeport, TX and graduated from Palacios High School in 1955. After graduating Nell moved to Bay City, TX and started working as an operator for Southwestern Bell Telephone Company. On May 24, 1963, Thelma Nell Jenkins married George Willis Agnew and they were married for over 52 years until his death in 2016. In 1967, George and Nell moved to Houston, TX after George became employed with Delta Airlines.
Thelma Nell Jenkins Agnew is survived by her children, son, John Agnew, and daughter, Brenda Agnew. She is also survived by one sister, Ann Reynolds; sister-in-law, Venus Randolph and husband Tom; brother-in-law, James Clayton and wife Joyce; and numerous nieces, nephews and cousins. Thelma Nell was preceded in death by her husband, George Agnew; by her parents, Joe Frank and Inez Jenkins Sr.; by two brothers, Joe Frank Jenkins Jr., and Tommy Jenkins; by two sisters, Netina Young, and Sue Clayton.

Funeral Service will be at 7:00 PM on Tuesday, January 9, 2018 at Bethel Tabernacle, 1020 FM 1960 E., Houston TX 77073 with a visitation from 5:00-7:00 PM. A second visitation will be from 10:00-11:00 AM on Wednesday, January 10, 2018 at First Pentecostal Church, 700 Ave I, Bay City, TX 77414. Graveside Service will follow at Cedarvale Cemetery beginning at 11:30 AM in Bay City, TX.

For those desiring, in lieu of flowers, a memorial offering may be made in the memory of Thelma Nell Agnew to the "Building Fund" of Bethel Tabernacle, 1020 FM 1960 E., Houston, TX 77073.
